  Cox Manufacturing Company

Cox Manufacturing Company was founded in 1932 by William Cox, an industry pioneer who built the business on a unique marketing vision that focused the initial product offering on small-scale boudoir furniture. Upon his death in the early 1950s, long-time company employees formed a buying group dedicated to continuing the tradition and character of the American furniture manufacturer.

Two decades later, the Romeo family purchased Cox Manufacturing. Over the years, the operation of the company passed from the father to the son as we earned a leading position in the industry. Under the family’s management, the company’s niche focus and vision expanded as we became a go-to source for traditional-style living room furniture and accent upholstery of high style and quality.

Culminating three expansions since the Romeo family purchased the business, Cox Manufacturing now has its headquarters in a state-of-the-art operations center located in Hildebran, North Carolina. Widely known and respected in the industry and among consumers, the company holds a secure place as an American furniture manufacturer of traditional-style living room furniture, unique accent furniture and other high-quality seating pieces.

SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT:
Cox Manufacturing, with nearly 80 years of rich history, is focusing more efforts than ever before to address sustainability issues to protect our environment and to be good stewards of our planet and natural resources. By formulating action plans in conjunction with our vendors, we are constantly undergoing evaluation of processes to reduce paperwork, lower usage of energy and natural resources, eliminate unnecessary packaging and reduce our impact upon landfills and utilizing recycling without lowering of levels of service or quality to our customers. Small steps; such as faxing or e-mailing correspondence, placement of recycling bins in our work and break areas, internal recycling of paper, cotton fibers, cardboard, leather scraps, and polyurethane foam utilized in our upholstery process, are some of the small but meaningful measures we have undertaken. We look forward to the continuing challenge in this area and will continue to inform you, our customers and consumers, of our efforts.
